    Affiliated with Comcast, NBCUniversal, and NBCU News Group. The program is in partnership with 45 academic institutions across the US.

  • Rocky Mountain Public Media, Inc. is the parent company of Rocky Mountain PBS, KUVO Jazz and The Drop.

    The Journalism Internship is an opportunity to work with the RMPBS Journalism team on creating responsive content and engage in long-form projects. The internship trains interns on building relationships with communities, networking and meeting with community leaders for story ideas. Intern learn about making decisions behind story and sources selection. Instruction included interviewing, research, hand placement on video and still cameras, writing, and execution of stories. Training provided opportunities for shooting, editing, and writing content for multiple platforms to further the mission of “creating a CO where everyone feels seen and heard.”

  • Top of the Rockies, Large Newsroom, News Reporting, Single Story. Honored for comprehensive and impactful coverage of a critical social issue.

  • Awarded for investigative reporting, multimedia storytelling, and raising awareness of the MMIW movement.

  • Collaborated with fellow team leaders to develop content to share student challenges and best practices. Developed strategies for sharing insights and opinions on a variety of SPJ services and resources. Ambassador for the Society. Promoted SPJ information and leadership development opportunities to peers. Assisted with facilitating peer-led meetings and focus groups coordinated by SPJ.
